I have at present 256MB of ram. I have one other slot to aadd another 128MB module making it 375MB. Will I gain anything in Windows 2000 ?

I now see memory so cheap that I feel inclined to stuff my board with 750MB of ram. Will this do wonders for everything I plan to do -doing video editing ?

Thanks

I know if your doing video editing that the more memory the better. As far as 700+, I'm not sure about what the max benifit is for 2000. I have ME (I know) and have heard 512 is the highest you can go w/o problems. Before I get flamed,I'm not speaking from experience, just what I've read in problems by others. If I'm wrong I hope someone posts and educates me. But I would definately get 512 if I was you with memory as low as it is now. http://www.crucial.com is the best place to get it.

As far as 2000 goes, I have never seen the memory usage go above 120 mb or so (256 installed) but I never checked when I do video encoding...my guess is that for editing, you might see a little performance increase, but I don't think it would e too much...
