How Do I Open an .iso File??

I just downloaded a very large file (split into 30 files)and
when I clicked on the .exe file it created an .iso file (larger
than all the 30 files combined).

This .iso file will not open. I have tried EZCD Creator, CDRWin,
CD Mate and Fireburner - Every which way I could think of. When
I double click the .iso in a computer with EZCD Creator installed,
the file causes EZ to open and try to burn the file (which I let
it do, still the file does nothing).

Would really appreciate any suggestions.
