Does anyone have any opinions about this software. It crashes occasionaly, but it does help u keep an eye on where u are currently with both RAM and resources.
For the record, it seems worth the $19.95 I paid, although I note wit some sadness that McAfee are now offering it at £12.99!
And whilst I'm on, is there such a beast as Speech-Text freeware, or even shareware. IBM and Dragon seem awful expensive if u just want to try it out!!

most RAM optimizing software takes up more actual RAM to run in the background than it's worth - really redundant software, I have tried many of them back when I had 64mbs RAM and they all would crash out the win9x systems more often than without it running.
as for the speech software I have no free ones that I'm aware of.
Staples now has 128MBs RAM on sale for $24.99!

Thanks a lot for your advice Sea69. It's more or less what I've heard, although I seem to have a lot of problems with low resources(!) - 100MhzP3, W98SE, 40GbHD plus 128K RAM, and at least MemoKit keeps the situation in view. Anyway, I'm going to try and test just how much RAM it frees up when u close it down!!
By the way, we do have Staples in the UK - we might be short on sunshine, but not on Staples - and there's one within 12 miles of where I live. The $24 will however be represented by at least 30 pounds sterling - one of the reasons why I try to download what I can from the USA!!!
Thanks again for your interest. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
