Mudules were removed but how about rest of the mess?

Could someone please give me assistance to clean this up without deleting
essential Windows files or messing up registry keys?

Thank you so much in advance http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

I just read my post and realized... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

It is *Ad-aware* not *ad ware*... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

Sorry for the confusion.

I'd be very appreciated for your reply http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Thank you!

You should start by finding the remove or uninstall program to remove Gator (Spyware)
here is a site to help remove it http://www.pchell.com/support/gator.shtml

On the double click and Value click Cookies you can mark them in Ad-Aware
And it will remove them (Delete)

Sorry to hear about your problems with Gator and Bonzi Buddy - nasty little critters which certainly need to be removed.

My problem, however,is not really with Gator, but with AdAware and its associated programme, AdWatch . I just can't work out which does what and what it all really means!!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

Thanks for your reply! I am really appreciated http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

I checked out the site for Gator Removal as Rick suggested but I think
what is refered as *Gator* there is not a quite same software as I had.

Mine came with *audiogalaxy* satellite. It doesn't show in System tray nor
in Add/Remove program window as Gator. It's really a sneaky one. All you see obviously is the Purple Monkey icon *Bonzi BUDDY* shortcut on desktop. I ran *find Files or Folders* for Gator, it came up with several suspecious files. So I ran *Ad-aware*.

*Ad-aware* did unload the modules as the results says...
Does this mean this Bonzi/Gator is no more functioning?

Is it safe to delete all the files, folders, and registry keys listed in the results?

If not could you please give me further instruction what to do with these files and folders?

Thank you http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

What I found when I looked up AudioGalaxy..

Editor's note: This download includes additional applications that are bundled within the software's installer file, some of which may be provided by parties other than the developer of this download. These applications may deliver advertisements, collect information, overlay content or graphics on the Web site you are viewing, or modify your system settings. As with all downloads, CNET recommends that you pay close attention to the options presented to you during the installation process. Known third-party applications bundled with this download include Gator.com and eAccelerator.

If you remove the SPYware you may find the installed program will not work
Free software driven by ad's and spyware.
Check the programs web site for a remove tool to rid your system of it. (Gator)

A Large number of so called “FREE” programs are far from being free.
If you like the program buy it .
Then Demand an Uninstall for the gator and Eaccelerator

You may also want to try an uninstall of the complete program.
then after a reboot check if it removed the spyware.
If not then follow the adaware or link above to remove it.

If you reinstall it watch for an option to install without the SPYWARE..

Hi folks,

I use AudioGalaxy and yup, Gain, Gator and Bonzi BS certainly comes with it. You can use Ad-Aware and get rid if all of it. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Check all the entrees that Ad-Aware finds and send them where they belong. AudioGalaxy will work fine without them. I did this and there seems to be at least a dozen items that Ad-Aware came up with. It's safe to rid your computer of it all. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

I have came accross many complains on Bonzai removal. It is a stubborn software who don't want to go even if you uninstall it. I have to search its *.exe using Cleansweep to completely prevent it from coming.

Hello!

Thank you so much for all your replys http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Now my system is cleaned up!

My problem was I didn't realized there were pages *continued* after the
results of Ad-aware scan and I thought this software only points out
the locations of those unwanted components.

After I hit *Exclude*, it DID it all nice and quick.
Kudos for this excellent *Ad-aware*!!!
