Whenever I start Internet Explorer or My Computer, I get two Kernell32.dll errors back to back, but the ironic thing is, is that the programs open anyway eventhough the message says that it will shut them down when I hit the ok button. I just recently got rid of a virus with McAfee's virus software and that's when the problems started. Any suggestions?

Does the error message say which programs caused the errors?

Here is a Microsft link for one kind of Kernel32 error:Explorer caused an invalid ...... (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q187/9/65.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=kernel32.dll%20%20&rnk=14&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=W98)

Thanks for the reply. It's Internet Explorer 5.5 that causes the error.

That looks like it is the right link, if you had a virus then it is likely that your password files could have been damaged, so go ahed and foolw the directions in that link to deltet them.

Thanks for the replies! Some further info. I get the back to back kernell32 errors when I start Internet Explorer, My computer, Control Panel. It doesn't happen with Outlook express though. The error always refers to IE causeing the problem. I've been up and down the microsoft site and it doesn't seem to help. I think it may be because of my virus software, mcafee. I'll try them and see if they have any thoughts.
