Need some info about using Nero. Apparently Nero dosn't recognize wma files. I'm using Sonic Foundry's Siren software to record my music and recorded a whole bunch of tracks as wma files, only to have nero tell me it can't read them. I found a plug-in at the nero website for wma files, I thought it would enable nero to read wma files. I downloaded it to windows temp file, then installed it but Nero still won't recognize wma files.
I don't really want to re record all those tracks as mp3 files. So is there any way I can get nero to recognize wma files, or convert wma files to mp3 or wav files?

Using windows is like keeping a pet porcupine, seems interesting, untill you try doing something with it.

Hi, this is just a thought, I use Nero 5.5. Have you been to the site and downloaded the latest update? I'm not sure but it seems to me there was something about the wma files in that. Can't hurt to take a look anyway. Good luck. LadyGrey

Another suggestion although I do not use the Nero as of yet. When I download or install various programs that use, or I choose to use temporary files, sometimes a few drivers remain in the temp files directory. When this occurs, I usually get an error in the operation of whatever it is I'm trying to run. If I create a folder in program files and carry the whole program from temp to there, or cut and paste the drivers directly to prog. files, the problem usually dissappears. But I have seen times the prior doesn't work but when leaving the drivers in plain view in prog. files, does. However, if they are in a folder of their own, it is much easier to keep track of the sometimes many drivers if the prescribed fix doesn't do the job.
