I,m building a new system
Asus A7v133
athlon 1.1
128mbram
WD-HDD 20gig
asus V7700 graphics card
sb live gamer sound card
U.S Robotics modem
I set it up in jumper freemode with the these settings in the bios.
cpu multiplier [11.0]
cpu frequency [100mhz]
vcore setting [1.75v]
after loading the os win98 and drivers i check the mobo information and find that the mobo only sees 850mhz of the 1.1mhz cpu. I'm stumped which isn't a hard state for me to be in. I have no idea were to go from here.

I'm not familiar with the Athlon 1.1GHz but...

You can't set the multiplier, it's factory locked (it can be unlocked, but I take it you haven't done that procedure).

So it's booting at 850MHz with the frontside bus at 100MHz. That shows it's using a multiplier of 8.5 (8.5 x 100MHz = 850MHz).

Hmmm... Suppose you set the frontside bus to 133MHz. That gives 8.5 x 133 = 1130MHz, or 1.1GHz

So, is the frontside bus supposed to be 133MHz on that Athlon? Somehow I think yes....
