lost win 98 curser

last night i deletd files created previous day,this morning when i started up pc win 98 is still there but cant use mouse and its all 16 bit colour any help kev

I dont speak for the rest, but more information would REALLY be helpful ...what exactly did you delete ?? If you can get hold of a SERIAL mouse, you should be able to get it to work even if you deleted the PSII mouse, as I suspect....unless of course, you deleted Com 1.....Anyway, post more information about what happened and I'm sure you can be helped... One thing you can try is to push F8 when the computer first starts up and choose "Safe Mode"......when you get your desktop, hopefully you will have a mouse......if not, you will have to use the keyboard to arrow down to the "Recycle Bin" and hopefully you can UNDO the deletions.
