I have added a new feature to the forums: post new thread links on the front page. These have been implemented as another "level perk" -- they show up when you reach 128 posts. You must be logged in to see them.
The reason for tying this feature to the number of posts is that it lets you post a new thread without looking into the forum first to see what it's about, read any priority announcements there, etc. For that reason, I don't want it available until a member has a reasonable level of experience with the forums.
The continued existence of this feature is predicated on folks being careful about its use and posting in the right place. I figure that by the time you hit Aspirant Master Geek you should know the ropes well enough. I may adjust the post value however.
Note that the post-direct buttons won't appear on the front page unless you are logged in.

Oh, and one more hack: when you post a reply, a link will appear on the redirect page to let you jump directly to the next oldest topic. This is a more limited version of a similar hack I did on the old forums.
