I've just now put in my signature on the letter to Congress, and I think everyone should too. The music and film industries have fought like demons against _every_ single new technology, ever since cassette tapes, that allowed the consumer to make copies for his/her use, but this "zero-sum, hyperparanoid approach" (as I called it in another thread) is going to new heights (or descending to new depths). As a South Carolinian native, I humbly apologize to the rest of the nation for my state's having provided the Senator from Disney (as Fritz Hollings is mockingly referred to in some quarters).
