:o :o I have installed the motherbaord and connected the appropriate devices and the system will not boot. When I press the power button the fans turn the hard drive runs and it recognizes the CDrom but I cannot get any display on the monitor.
System: AZ11E Motherboard
800mz amd Duron
Enlight Case 250 watt power
256 meg PC133 micron memory
10 gig maxtor HD
16 meg video AGP
onboard sound
CMOS Normal Operation
FSB 100
All other settings are default for this MB

Try this: Disconnect EVERYTHING except the following: Keyboard, Video Card Ram, keyboard and cpu/fan and try again. Let us know. Double check to make sure Ram is totally seated in Dimm's slot.

You do not say what your monitor is, but if it is one of the newer energy efficient models there will be a light on the front that changes colors when it detects a signal from the video card. If it does not change colors make sure the video card is fully seated. I had a similar problem with an AZ11 board and changed to a 350 watt AMD certified power supply and problem went away. In my case sometimes the monitor would work and sometimes it would not. At AMD's site they have the minimum requirements for a power supply.

hi, i have your same mobo and i did buit my pc. So let see what is going on.......mhhhhhhh! the only time i had your prob is when my FSB jumper was set on 133, but this is not your case since you say is on 100. If the hard drive and cdrom are recognized and you hear no beeps i guess is soemthing with the video card. Is it seated correctly? the monitor works? can you try another video card?
let me know

i would also try taking everything out of the case to avoid, if any, shorts of the mobo with the case. Connect video card, CPU, memory, and monitor only....you should see at least the specs of the video card on the monitor and be able to get in to the bios (press delete when the FIC logo appears).

I have taken the MB from the case put it on the box it came in connected power supply, video card, monitor and Ram along with the keyboard when powered on the fans runs, and the keyboard lights come on momentarily but I still have no video display. CPU core voltage for the 800 Duron is set at 1.5v and the bus ratio is set at 5x. The video card works well in another board and so does the 256 meg of Ram further help needed

Did all of this fan runs keyboard lights momentarily but still no video video card and ram works well on otherMB

Seem a very annoying problem and appears to be a mobo problem! Did you set the voltage manually or you left the default settings? try the default settings allowing the mobo to recognize automatically core voltage and speed multiplier.

ok! this is a BIG shoot in the dark and I might be totally wrong and actually I invite anyone to explain to me why i am wrong, BUT isn`t the bus ratio multiplier the switch that gives the CPU speed when combined with FSB speed? in other words: if you have 800MHz Duron shouldn`t be FSB (100MHz) multiplied by 8 equal (800MHz)? instead of the 5??? now! i am not sure how to deal with the fact that the Duron, as the Athlon, is doubling the FSB (200MHz), assuming this must be considered when setting the multiplier means that you are running 200 by 5 equal 1000MHz, thus you are overclocking too much!!!! or as i said before too low (100by5 equal 500).
Just enable the ADR and ADV! if you have them enabled then I don`t know...i`ll think about it!

You are exactly right Andrea....additionally, the Duron 800 can ONLY run at 100 mhz bus(FSB) and an 8 multiplier......and a 1.6 volt core voltage....ANY OTHER SETTINGS WILL NOT WORK (unless you are an adept overclocker and have the right mobo and I certainly dont recommend overclocking a Athalon based chip anyway).

I disabled the adr and the adv set dip switches to the settings you have described but still no video I enabled both adr and adv set switches to off and still notta. I dont know if going to a pci video card might help. More help needed thanks for the advice
