Not sure this is the right place, but I'll give it a try. I have two hard drives in my PC, running Win 98 2nd Ed. Can I set it up so I can start up and run on either drive? I mean when you start up, you would have your choice of going to either C: or D: for start up? If so, how do you do that. Would you set both as master, or as duel? How (and at what point during start up) do you make the choice? Thanks.
I have made connections from the Slave and Master connectors on two hard drives to a toggle switch. Whichever drive is set to Master becomes the C: drive. The switchover can only be done while the power is off. NickLock (http://www.nicklock.com/) sells a hard drive selector for around $20.

The simplest way is too use your BIOS to create a multiple boot. In my case it's IDE-0 or SCSI once entering the BIOS for drive to boot from.

Thanks guys- follow-up question?
My slave is reformatted clean. I want to install Windows on it. What's the easiest way to do that? Do I switch it to master and do it from a boot disk? Or can I do it with it set as slave? Win 98 2nd Ed.(CD-ROM). What happens if I just copy the Windows directory from the master to slave?
