Is there a way to kill my existing USER ACCOUNT feature on Windows XP? While setting up my new computer, I entered a name (a false one) and XP has made that my user account. But I don't share this computer with anybody and I don't see the need to have a user account. My beef with it is that it makes it difficult for me to find things quickly under Windows Explorer, as I have to find where my User Account is and work from there. I want to rid myself of it! Anybody know how to do that?

You have to remember that Xp was( is ) targeted to the average user, so upon istall it automatically creates a user account, given that every account Xp creates is an Admin one there is some potential for some serious harm to be done! :D
To rid yourself of an unwanted account, simple create another user account under the name you wish, then delete the old account, you have to have at least one account created as XP hides the actual Administrator account from view using the new logon screen, however you could set up XP to use the classic logon and have only the Administrator account available to log into.
