Cute FTP help!

does anyone know what this error means when I try to open up CUTE ftp to transfer pics to my site....?

'Cannot initialize advertising system'

or more importantly, how do I get around it??

I am not certain, but I think that cute FTP is classed as "spyware" so this error means that the program is unable to connect to the advertisment server. The easiest way of curing it is to uninstall cuteFTP, and replace it with WS_FTP(from here (http://www.ipswitch.com/Products/WS_FTP/) ) which is not spyware. Then get yourself "Adaware" here (www.lavasoftusa.com/) and do a scan to remove any bits left behind. I find that WS_FTP is easy to use and effective.
