IE Timing Out

Hi All,

Not alot to go on I'm afraid.
A friend is getiing zapped back to her home page.
When she is on a web page for 5 mins it sends her back to her home page.
I know theres a setting to adjust the time out but can't remember where it is.
If that is the way to go.
Win 98se not sure which IE but prob prob 5.

HERE'S (www.windows-help.net/windows98/ie40-29.shtml) some information for an IE4 timeout bug fix.

I couldn't find anything yet for the later releases.

If this is happening on a particular site it could be a possiblity that accepting session cookies has been turned off. It appears some sites do limit your length of stay through "session" cookies. If a person has their security set to not accept cookies they could get "dumped" prematurely.
