How does heat harm a CPU?

heat causes expansion, this chips are designed in a specific size, think of roadways melting on the interstate-all trafic would come to a halt since you couldnt get anywhere.

In simpler terms, the CPU has micro circuitry.
Too much heat will cause those wires to melt causing the CPU to fail. :D

heat doesn't always 'harm' ... it comes in handy when you are hungry and out of gas.;):D
