I've got a problem with my pc, i hope you can help!
My pc runs on windows 95 and has a pentium 200mhz processor
with 32mb of ram.
When starting up, it say's i have a registry problem, to restore
the registry click here, this is the only thing i can do! It then
restarts to restore the registry.
It then say's himen is testing extended memory.
Windows XMS version 3.95
Extended memory specification (XMS) v.3.
Error: himen.sys has detected unreliable XMS memory at address 00AE6204
XMS driver not installed

To continue starting press enter. (which i've done!) it then say's
himen.sys is is missing, make sure file is in windows.

If you try to continue starting, or restart the computer it say's
Insufficent memory.
Quit one or more memory resident programs or remove unneccesary
config.sys or autoexec.bat utilities.

That's basicly it, i can't get it to open properly, and i don't know what

to do as it just keep's restarting with one of the above error messages.

I'm ok with operating a pc, but a bit of a novice with how they work so
any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

my first thought is bad ram...

Go here and download DocMemory
www.simmtester.com (http://www.simmtester.com)

you will put the files on a formatted floppy and boot from the disk. The program will test all your ram to determine if it is bad.

I just had a similar (almost exact) problem and I had to buy new ram....

No doubt about it....your simms or dimms RAM chip(s) have failed. When you replace the memory chip(s) it will work fine.
