Here's an interesting situation.
I've installed Win XP on a new PC. Once in XP, if I do the normal "shut down" procedure, the HHD will not reboot when turning the PC back on. Once in this mode, it is necessary to turn the PC off from the switch at the rear of the case. Only when this switch has been shut off (in other words, all power to the computer shut off), turned back on again, and then the on/off switch on the front of the case depressed, does the computer start with the normal rebooting process and then onto the Win XP.
The jumper in back of the IBM harddrive has been altered to the HHD=0, master (16 heads)position and the cable select position making no change to the situation.
Anybody with ideas?
