I have got lots of files with extention *.chm, which are opened by Compiled HTML (with an icon of a question mark). One day, for a particular chm file, I changed its association to regular HTML format (an icon with blue internet Explorer). Now all files with chm extention are messed up. Since they are incorrectlt associated, I can not open them. Worst of all, I can not change them back. When I click on Opened With button within Property, there is no selection for COMPILED HTML.
Does anybody know how to associate a file with Compiled HTML in such a situation?
These CHM files were installed automatically when I installed application programs. I have tried re-installation of those application involved. STill, the chm files reinstalled are associated with regular HTML, instead of Compiled HTML. I also re-intsall or update my Internet Explorer. It is still doing the same.
I appreciate your help.
