Hi,

If you are running WIN98SE, and assuming that the soundcard is installed in the computer, go to Start/Run and type the following:

hwinfo_/ui

Use a space in place of the underscore. If you are running WIN95, then I don't think you need the "_/ui" part of the syntax.

When the Hardware Info utility for Windows opens, give it a second or two to display all the text. Go to the View menu, and click on Current Devices, again giving it a couple of seconds to display all the information. Page down until you find the Media section. It should list some useful information about your sound card there.

If the above does not work for some reason, or you are still confused, I suggest downloading SiSoft Sandra 2001 Standard. Just do a search on "SiSoft Sandra". The Standard edition is free for home users and will tell you everything you want to know about the devices, etc. in your computer. Try the utility built into Windows first. It may very well be sufficient in this case.

Cheers,

Try the hard way if you still don't have what you need following Blue's advice. Look on the sound card itself for a set of numbers (there are several) copy them down the head on over to www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/ (http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/) Last resort advice.
