I have a new case with a 300w power supply that I am dying to use. I originally bought it for an Athlon build but scrapped that project(long story). I was wondering if I could a fcpga celeron board that I have in there. I know I dont need all that juice to run my system(it is currently in a case with a 150w supply) but I was wondering if I can do this? Will it work or will it fry the board/proc etc? Any answers would certainly be appreciated.

The wattage rating refers to the watts available, not the watts constantly supplied. Your system will only draw the amount of power required by the devices attached. You will have plenty of room for expansion with a PS this size. Just be sure the motherboard has the required connector -- ATX or AT.
