Sorry mjc, but the sound I'm trying to put across is not the normal
hard disk sound. Actually it's faily quiet in its operation.
To recap, it's a single 'striking' sound that's all. Not continuous,
and can it manifest itself at intervals. As previously reported, the
'zinging' soumd is additionally new, and it preceeds the striking sound.
At the time of posting, it's not making the noise at all - it's always
the way isn't it!!
Maybe it isn't serious at all. But, like the little knocks and sounds
one might hear from a car engine, you just want to find out
(if nothing more than curiousity) what the cause is.
