View Full Version : PC hang at any time wihout any mesasges

Dear Sir,

Hey how are you, I have a problem with my desktop PC, I have a dual boot
(windows 2000 professional and Windows 98), sometimes it happen the PC is hang in the middle of the work for both windows 98 and windows 2000.

I have already PC Pentium III with 1 Gega Hz, hard disk (20 Gega Byte) and Ram (128 Mbyte), I will write it down the detail information for PC:

PC has a motherboard (DFI CS61-EC) with the following descriptions :
Bios ID : 6A69RD4FC
Bios Date : 01/31/2001
Bios Signon : 01/31/2001 - i815EP - W83627 - 6A69RD4FC-00
Bios Type : Awarded Modular Bios v 6.00PG
Supper I / O : Winbond 627F/HF rev 7 found at port 2Eh
Chipset : Intel 1130 rev 2
OEm Signon :

I will write down for you that the health case as I had seen inside the
BIOS Configuration menu :-

Current System Temperature : 34C / 93 F
Current CPU Temp. : 40C / 104 F
Current Chassis Fan Speed : 0 RPM
Cuurent CPU Fan Speed : 4326 RPM
Curent Fan Speed : 0 RPM
CPU (V) : 1.76 V
+1.5 V : 1.52 V
+3.3 V : 3.31 V
+12V : 12.40 V
-12 V : -12.61 V
VBAT(V) : 3.36 V
5VSB(V) : 4.96 V

Is the above ranges for the temperatures are okey or not , let me know and also If I will make BIOS update for the model of DFI Motherboard is it help me or not to solve the problelm of hang ?.

As I told you before that Motherboard is (DFI) with model (SC61-EC) and
REV. is (A) and it had first released at 31/1/2001 but now in the internet site for this motherboard has latest BIOS dated 29/6/2001, Shall I download the file and copy the file to diskette and run form it. to update the BIOS
what is your opinion ?.
