I have a dual boot system, W98 + W2K Pro. Since setting this configuration up four months ago, I have virtually stopped using W98 and would like to reclaim the space.

What is the best way to do this? I have W98 on C Drive and W2K on D. I use Fat32 and have second, non partioned drive (F) where I keep the bulk of my data. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you,
ER

Copy the ntldr, ntdetect.com, and boot.ini files to a floppy for safety, blow away the 98 partition using disk management, then use the 2k CD to run a repair.

if you have a drive letter, then it is partitioned by the way-that's how windows identifies a drive.

Iisbob,

Thanks for the information. I have found all of the files and made copies except for boot.ini. I have searched all drives to no avail. Is it possible that it does not exist on my system?

ER

Got your system set to show all files?

It should be in the root directory of the C:\ drive.
