I have had problems since the other night, I was playing a game on the pc and it totally crashed, everything shut down, ever since then, I have had problems with it, starting then cutting out once running, starting up and freezing once everything is nearly fully loaded, not wanting to start up at all, and now after most of the day trying to get it to start I am on and it is running fine.

I have tried system restore to set it back before the incident happened, but same problems, tried to run a scandisk but it cuts out during it, I am far from being an expert on Pc's so I am pretty clueless as to what to do with this, the only other thing I can think off was that it was a very warm day when it initially cut out and I had been on it most of the day.

I am running a pentium 4, 1.6 Ghz, would be very grateful if anyone else has experiencedthe same type of problem and could give me some advice, Ta.

Welcome to the PC Guice forums. You have come to the right place. If this community can't guide you to a solution than it can't be fixed.

You will need to provide alot more information. Please post back with:

1) Full System Specs
2) The exact error messages you are getting.

At first blush, it looks like it might be a hard disk problem but there is NOT enough information to tell
