No Show In Device Manager

Installing CD ROM in a 486dx Acer (win95,installed from the old floppy disk's ).The CD works OK but fails to show up in device manager.

All I can suggest is to go to www.microsoft.com (http://www.microsoft.com) and check for any Windows95 updates that may be available. Heard M$ is no longer supporting W95 anymore, tho. Good Luck! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Have you installed the drivers? Is a drive letter assigned to the CD-ROM in DOS?
