at the rate pcs are moving now days cpu`s are getting ever faster memory quicker, better graphics card, all in all the puter has become a top notch beast. cd-roms and dvd-roms, things are just getting bigger and faster, i have a problem, we are now at a stage were almost everything will play on a puter, almost everything. i want to know when Microsoft are going to tatle the problem of getting VHS tapes to play on my pc, my puter can play every other format so why not VHS and why not all my 7" singles i have still in there dust covers, so if my hi-fi brakes down i can use the puter, in a couple of years thats all we will have:D :D :D

i don't think it will happen. How many people watch dvd's on their 19 inch monitor at home, instead of their 50 inch tv. I would rather listen to my cds on my suround sound system than my computer. All in one things never win out in the end.
Now it might be that you will be able to control everything from your computer, but they call that an entertainment system.

i agree with you there lad, i watch my Dvds in my dvd player and pipe it in to my lady of a Hi-Fi.:D

well when they sold it to me, they said it was a toaster, but I can't find the A- Drive!

Do you ever wonder where we will be in 10 years time? Looking back on today's computers and thinking "I remember when 512mb of RAM and a 2Ghz processor was cutting edge technology"

I can't wait for the day when I just speak to my computer and ask it any question and it responds with an encyclopaedia of information (ok..been watching too much Star Trek) but it will happen!

All I want is computer like Star Trek or Farscape and I will be happy. Holograph stuff is going to be very cool also.
