Router and cable modem?

The day has finally arrive cable internet access is here:) The satellite and dialup is out the window good rittens!!!

Ok i want to have my cable modem hook up to 2 computers and running all the time. Meaning not have the main machine on to get internet access.

As i know ill need a router to pull this off and do not want to go threw ICS, Os will be Windows XP on my main systeam and Windows ME on the other..

Could you all give me some links or hints on setting up the router to pull this off.. Thanks

Thanks steve will do,, i take a look at it and tell u my progress. Aint it great to finally have cable.. And of course right when cable arrives DSL decides to come too.. So many decisions:D
