CPU confusion

I just purchased an Athlon XP1700 for my computer and installed it. But when i ran the bios it said it was running at 1100mhz and had a FSB of 100mhz. The XP should be running at 1470mhz with a FSB of 133. Yet windows still says i'm running with an Athlon XP even though no XP runs at that speed. Whats wrong???

Processor Speed 1.47GHz
System bus speed 266MHz

What Motherboard and Bios and chip set do you have?

Drop into CMOS (BIOS) and set the

CPU Bus Speed at 133. Use F10 to

save the setting to CMOS and Exit.

If by chance the Bus Speed setting

is done by jumper on the Mboard then

set that at 133.
