Hi,

I have a question: I do not know where to goto upgrade my Viruscan4.01 to 6.02; one the www.nai.com they ask me my Grant Number: what should I do to get it?

I used VirusScan for a long time, until I figured out that it was part of the reason I had to keep reformatting my drive. That said, I never encountered a request for a "Grant number". If such a thing exists, it is probably available under the "Help" and then "About" menu.

Did you manage to find the number and update? If you didn't, you might want to look into getting Norton or some other Antivirus. If you have a Circuit City nearby, they have Norton AntiVirus on sale for $5 after rebates, but the sale ends today. It will probably run again soon or you can buy it off of eBay cheap. There is another one people talk about on this forum called AVG or something like that. You could do a search if you want to know more about that one.

You could try HERE (http://www.mcafee-at-home.com/naicommon/download/updates.asp) for McAfee Updates.

Personally I think AVG is superb (and free). Have you checked out the priority thread at the head of this forum?
