It is a great card,no doubt. My only question is, how long will it be before some software appears that is coded with the 9700 in mind?

Don't you just love it when there's more than one big kid on the block?:)
Got a GF2MX about 9 months old. With the price war which will ensue, I'll be able to upgrade:D

Absolutely! I just bought a GeForce 2 MX 400 around march... of course now I could get it cheaper but... It works. The important thing is the GF 4 Ti's will be dropping when the NV30's come out:D
Right, so.. the 9700. Read the review it is a nice card but personally it isn't worth the price nor the headache in 3 or so months when they still don't have properly supported drivers. They SAY it supports DirectX 9 but the proof is in the pudding. If the drivers work and they support it for more than a year then the card will be worth ooooooh at least 200 :) well maybe :)At least the smart shoppers will be able to get a good deal soon.
