I've loaded 98lite onto an old Dell P133 laptop for the wife to use as a portable word processor. It has a PCMCIA slot, floppy drive, and CD-ROM, but no USB.
I want to use compact flash as a medium to swap files to USB equipped desktops. I lack any experience in compact flash, so am surmising that I can do this.
I have ordered a compact flash adapter for the PCMCIA slot, a Sandisk USB digital film reader, and a couple of 128mb compact flash cards. I also needed most of this stuff for a recently purchased camera, so am assuming I'll get double duty out of it.

Can I do this????

In a word....yes.

Basically anything you can put on a hard drive you can put on a flash card....just may need special drivers/software to use it in 98, but they should be included with the hardware you bought.
