I just recently built a computer and am having trouble installing games on it. Any newer games such as jedi knight 2, Max Payne or even Serious Sam get a little way into the install and the drive shuts off and the computer freezes. It is strange though because games like Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament have no problem. I'm running with an Artec DVD drive. The specs for my system are: AthlonXP 1700,Soltek 75drv5 mother board, 256mb Crusial 2700, 40gig IBM Deskstar 120GXP, and a Radeon 64mb ViVo.
