There is a s**ker used my pc to enter into a pornographic site and made that site to become my IE home page. I already changed the home page address to the original one but everytime the computer is restart, the home page address will automatically switch back to that porn site address.

Can somebody please tell me how to block the porn site address to become my IE home page?

Hi dracula

It was like getting blood out of a stone, but Google has come up with this:

Hope it helps, or there will be real expert along later in the day!;)

Also, you must read Sandi's site here: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/

You may also find that Homepage website added a program to your startup menu
Check in there also using msconfig.exe from the run box

Nobody had to go to a porn site for you to get that, there are several sites that those can be picked up from. Warze sites, certain file sharing activities, even the occaional email...the way to avoid it is to up the security level of both IE an OE (if that is your email client). Trun off scripting (set at least to prompt in IE) and set OE to the restricted zone.

Wat more interesting is occaionally but very rare, i happened to have this problem for 3 times in the past 2 years, even i didn't surf any site, just playing counter strike, after i payed, come back to window, porno websites, advs, etc flooded my taskbar...also with those homepage set to porno site, got the porno "program" installed and etc

btw, my internet is cabled, connected in internet once in window. but my problem is sometimes, when i come in to window, advs auto pop out. I didn't even start to surf net yet and those advs poped out. Why is this happening?? and how should i solve it??

There are viruses around that will hijack your hompepage. Run a virus scan.

90+% of homepage hijacks are script based...either JS or ActiveX, so to solve the problem disable them (or at least set them to prompt) in the internet zone, then add certain trusted sites to the Trusted zone. This only works in IE, but that is were most of the homepage hijacks occur.

Running a spyware detector is a good idea, I run both AdAware and SpyBot S&D, they work well together and each seems to have a lightly different focus, SpyBot will also clean up your web trail too...(cookies, TIF, etc). A good, up-to-date AV and possibly a good anti-Trojan are worth considering, as well as running a firewall, especially if you have a broadband connection.

In addition to a virus scan, kueijie and dracula81, you may also need to run a program like AdAware to see if you have any spyware installed in your system. You can find links to a number of different programs for both in this thread:

Good luck,

Edit: OOPS. I just noticed that MJC already had a link to this site in the post above. Sorry for being redundant, repetitive, and saying the same thing again.:D
