Help! I am having a problem syncing up the colors on my monitor with output from printer. I tried the Windows troubleshooter, however, I do not have, in the FILE menu, a setting for enabling color management. I have default color profiles set for both monitor and printer (Gateway Vivitron 1572 and Lexmark 1100, correct driver installed) but I cannot get anywhere with this! Is Image Color Management 2.0 an executable or just a bunch of profiles or what? I honestly don't think I have it! What to do??? Come to my rescue once again! Thanks bunches, Chincie

A Standard Default Color Space for the Internet - sRGB (http://www.w3.org/Graphics/Color/sRGB.html) is very detailed but may be worth a read, particularly towards the end.
For hardware/software to utilise this new sRGB standard intalled with ICM 2.0 those devices need to be ICC configured as far as I can tell.
The last time (a long time ago) that I tried to synch the monitor and printer was by using some Kodak software - but you also needed to have a "physical color chart" in your hand to compare, by eye, a standardised screen display and printer output and then make adjustments.
As far as I can tell this is an independent way of comparing colors for devices that support it. Others are likely to know more of the specifics - or indeed whether I have got this right at all.
