Is this possible? I have a win98SE with Office 2000 in one of my PC. Can I download the SR-1 service release from another PC with internet connection and install it in the PC without Internet?

As long as you have a storage medium (zip, cd, etc.) that can hold the SR-1 update you should have no problem.

You may want to get Office 2000 Service Release 1a (SR-1a) Update - Download Details for English (http://office.microsoft.com/Downloads/2000/O2kSR1DDL.aspx)

20MB or more.

Note this paragraph towards the bottom.

"This update will be installed from the Web and will update the Office 2000 installation on your PC. If you need to update more than one PC and would like to download the SR-1a update to your hard disk, please download the Office 2000 Downloadable Update (file name O2ksr1adl.exe), to your hard disk".
