how to autofix scandisk errors on startup ? i mean i do not want to press ok when an error is detected and disaplayed. Remember, i am talking about the scandisk that occurs on startup due to bad shutdown.
its really boring to have to scan every drive and click ok. .... my pc crashes atleast once every 2 days, coz i continously play notorious games with Windows. I know, the "scandisk after bad shtdwn" can well be disabled, i did that in past and i really really REALLY regret it.

I'd be thinking along the lines that you should probably get your computer up to speed so that it doesn't crash anymore.

TweakUI has the option you are looking for that can disable autofix scandisk on startup after a crash.
It is under the Boot tab I believe.

john, i want to enable auto-fix.
ok. so i found a way to auto-fix... pretty simple (start scandisk >advanced.> uncheck prompt b4 fixing errors on improper shutdown). i will report whether it worked or not after my next crash.
.... meanwhile, you may like to read what i found after googling around a bit ..
Is there a way to have scandisk run on startup and automatically repair
>any problems after a bad shutdown without any user prompts ?

Yes from win95b and later,but I don't trust scandisk's,"Autofix"as
it's screwed up several people's systems converting nearly all the
files including system files to .chk files thus ruining ALL the data
on the drive/s so I'm not telling you for your own benefit. (http://groups.google.com/groups?q=autofix+%22scandisk+after+bad+shutdown%22 &hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=3s3diss0adpc60tklsgq4bnu9t1gjvt7io%404ax.com&rnum=1)
