Belarc Advisor Help

I used Belarc Advisor to get system information but after advisor runs no results are posted. I have followed Belarc faq guide ie: open web browser before clicking belarc icon. This sucker will just not display results. Anyone know what is going on with this program?

Hi surveyor1-

When I run Belarc, I don't open a browser window at all. Once the program is downloaded it is run locally.
(cprogram files\belarc\advisor\system\temp\(comp name)\html.

Once you click on the icon, it takes a moment to gather information and opens as an html file in a browser window.
In other words, you dont need an active connection to run it once you have the program installed.
All I could suggest if it's not working is to try it without opening a window first, or uninstalling it and try downloading it again.

I remember something like this happening before. Page came up but no details. Also one of the links on the top left appeared as box. I think this happened after installing it from the downloaded file after a windows reinstall and was cured by going back to the download site and re-downloading.

Could be related to the absence/corruption of the Belarc Plugin at C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/plugins/NPBelv32.dll
