Sugestions on Hard Drive Upgrade

I have a Dell Dimension 8100. Currently I'm running Windows ME. I have a 20 GB hard drive, floppy drive, DVD-R drive, and CD-RW burner (all internal). I plan to purchase a Western Digital 80 GB drive.

1. If I want to make the new drive my primary drive and my current
drive my secondary, am I going to run into any problems
copying my data from the old drive to the new drive ?

2. Will I notice any performance increase if I purchase a hard drive
with 8MB cashe VS 2MB cache buffer? I currently have 2MB cache
buffer.

The drive should come with a Data Lifeguard (http://support.wdc.com/dlg/facts.asp) utilities disk, which among other things, can tranfer your current hard drive contents to the new one. It is downloadable if you do not get a disk with the drive.
