My pc doesn't start!!!!!

Hello, guys!!!

I have a problem, obviously...
I turn on my computer and when it shows me
the components screen (where we can see the types of drives,
types of ports and others technical things)
it stops. In other words, it can't starts the 98 OS.
I can start it by boot disk in A drive.
Then, I can browse by directories, I can run DOS programs.
Why can I run DOS programs and browse by directories. What happened?

just wondered, had you done anything new to the machine (recently as this started) ??

any new software, installed or uninstalled??

in BIOS, is yours set to read A-drive, then CD-drive, and then C-drive ??

Since Win98 is corrupted - my guess is that you need to re-install Windows.

Go to the F-prot location and download their free DOS virus program...you should find out if you have a virus before you reload the OS.
