Firewall Problem.......

Hello,
I've recently tried fowarding ports in Norton Firewall so I can play Mechwarrior4 and leave firewall on instead of totally disabling when playing.Well it didnt seem to work so I deleted the fowarding and rebooted....now I cant browse(I get page cannot be displayed) or do anything online unless I TOTALLY disable the firewall .After that I uninstalled the firewall and reinstalled and same problem I also tried to configure firewall to permit all on internet explorer...and yes I have the XP firewall disabled...(not that it should matter)
any ideas?

Perhaps you could try un-installing your Norton Firewall and then replace it, temporarily if you wish, with Zone Alarm or, my own favorite, Sygate Personal Firewall.

Then see what happens?
