My friend has a new Gateway Computer that's running Windows XP Home. Sometime's when he goes to shutdown his computer it reboots......but not always. Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a setting somewhere to adjust?
thanks,
Stealth

You may need to increase the "shutdown time". See HERE (http://www.aumha.org/kbshtdwn.htm) for a number of solutions etc.

Hi Stealth-
As if Paul didn't already give you enough to read, HERE (http://dave-partridge.com/shutdown.shtml) is a little more to go along with it! ;)

(Sometimes, sifting through the M$ "Knowledge Base" drives me nuts! )
Good luck!

Wow ! lots of info on those links. I will be seeing him today and we can start some of the trouble shooting. He did install a new USB mouse and keyboard, so I think I'll start out by taking the check out of the USB Root Hub, and go from there.
Thanks for the feedback,
