Have you set up the '98 and ME computers with the XP disk? Put the XP CD in each computer and click Perform Additional Tasks, then select the Setup Network option. It will load some software, then set up network connections. There is also a network configuration routine inside XP which will make a floppy with the required files.
Then set up sharing in the Properties of the folders.
Also, are you running ZoneAlarm or other firewall program? If so, you need to set the IP addresses for the trusted computers.

Thanks all, seems the problem is , i right click the xp c: drive and on sharing and security i put share.
Done that and still the message . So i go to the specific folder im looking for and right click and share it and bam, it works.
No i didnt use the xp network disk either. Dont understand thought if you share the drive, then all folders on the drive are automically shared. But it seems you have to click on the individual folders and share each. Weird:rolleyes:
