I have an NT 4.0 domain with about 35 clients that reside within it. Today I noticed that one of my clients was not being displayed in Windows Explorer. The machine is joined and logged into the domain but for whatever reason I was unable to browse to it. I was able to connect using \\machine_name in Windows Explorer but I am a little curious as to what would cause this one machine to not be displayed.
Has anyone ever seen this?

What was the error message when you tried to browse it?
Did it just disappear from Network neighborhood?
Need some more info

It disapeared from network neighborhood. I could no longer see it but when I physically sat down at this particular client and opened network neighborhood I was able to see only itself listed. Its like that particular machine decided to isolate itself for whatever reason.
Another tidbit of info. I did disable the Master Browser located on the PDC but, I verified that the BDC picked up the job and became the Master Browser. So theoretically everything should've been alright...right?
Maybe it was just a timing or synchronization issue?
Thanks for the reply.

What is the client OS?
If it's Win2K you might have "join"
the domain again.
If not, I would check the cable & card on the client
