You guys have any suggestions or last minute ideas that will help me pass my a+ exam tomorrow? :)

Get a good night's sleep and read the questions carefully. Good Luck. :p

Ditto on the sleep. Memory is not consolidated (stored) without an adequate amount of sleep so an all-nighter can actually make things worse.

Too late for Blades, but here is my advice for first-time exam sitters:
Go easy on the caffeinated beverages beforehand. You'll have enough stimulation from test anxiety/excitement, and you don't want your bladder to be a distraction.:p

wow;) goodluck you should do well

Thx guys, I passed! Was a good test, a little harder than I expected even. Example, I didnít know what the dip switch settings and jumpers were for on older nics that don't use a plug and play OS. I mean what the hell kind of question is that!? If it was a written test I woulda wrote... "Who the hell cares? Been working in this field for 2 years, never seen one!!"
As it was, I picked to manually configure memory addresses and IRQís Ö made sense to me anyway, because the other options were crap.
Wish me luck on the OS part; I heard thatís a bit harder. I will be taking it next week.

Congratulations, and I'm sure you guessed correctly!

if you prepare well the o/s should be no harder than core.

I still havent taken the OS yet. I have been studing up more for it than I did for core. Anyone here know how long I have to take it? I will probably do it next week.

Just started studying for my A+.
may sound a bit daft, when it seems that most of the exam will be reasonably easy, but actually going through the motions refreshes the memory and I've even started to learn (or relearn!) a couple of points.
bes of luck with the rest of your studies.;)

Thanks for all the encouragment! I am happy to say that I took the OS part yesterday and passed it! I am now A+ certified. Long time in coming.
Even though I have been working on computers for sometime, I am glad I studied a book. Would have been challenging going in cold. They were not terribly hard, but they dont make it easy either ;)
Looks like I will go for Net+ next. Any words of advise for that test?

I passed the earlier version of Network+ using the first edition of this Syngress offering (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0072191171/qid=1033784745/sr=1-11/ref=sr_1_11/104-6743947-6400705?v=glance) , but I never looked at the Q & A book at all. I thought the text was pretty good.
Amazon's Network+ books, listed by customer rating (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/104-6743947-6400705)(Link doesn't work for some reason)
