Going to start my A+ in a fortnight. Is the networking involved any good, or should I take the C&G course as well? the local college does upto C&G level 3 networking.

networking in a+ is reasonably straightforward. all you need to know is the different cables, lengths, connectors, protocols, control panel and a few utils. c&g in networking won't help a+ much.

i am presently taking network+. together with a+, it will work as an elective in mcsa.

A+ is more hardware and software for a standalone with a bit of networking.

I would imagine that the Network + is more like the C&G.

A+ and N+ although nice quals to have are industry created, where as the C&G quals are educational and can be added together over time to possibly give a BTEC, HNC, HND or even a degree.

Depends on your long term goals
