a few questions

ive just installed Mandrake 8.2 on Gnome and i have questions.

1. what is a Mount point and how you i make/use one?

2. in the Gnome main menu\amusements it will not load/play any of the games in there, ive make my choice and click on it but it dont load/play, what am i doing wrong?

3. the Linux puter is not on the net yet so can i download what i need(drivers and things) on my Windows puter and take them over to the Linux puter?:confused:

The mount point is any existing directory in your filesystem that the floppy disk will attach to. Any information contained on the floppy will become available in the directory.

This can be expanded to include things other than floppies.....

2. Are you sure you are giving them enough time (some of them can take a while to load), or are they looking like they might start and then they never do? Any other info would be helpful....

3. Yes.....

mjc, in answer to 2. i have tried clicking and doulbe clicking on it and nothing happens, the HD is not accessed, i wait and not a jot.
it plays the card games and such like in Programs but not the games in Amusements.
