Hey all, here's a wierd question about WinAmp. Does WinAmp have something built into it that detects stretches of silence at the end of a song and ends the song a bit early. For example, alot of times I'll be listening to an mp3 and it'll say in the scrolling bar that the song is like 4:23 long but the song will shut off at like 4:20 or 4:21. What's up with that???

Most times when you rip a song into MP3 format you can add a couple of seconds of silence to it. I think that WinAMP will strip those, if the volume drops below a certain level it will end the song.....

not an answer to your question, but i thought i should reply ... there is an option called "Remove Silence" in Winamp3 which might be of use to you. :)
That is the one I was thinking about, but didn't want to fire up WinAmp and run through the options...on record it will strip them so the length will show it, on playback I think it strips the silence but doesn't adjust the total length.
