Hey all, quick question. What does Visual Studio.NET consist of and how is it different from Visual Studio 7.0??

Hi Cronus,
This might help you - via Google search using the actual text of your question.
There are other web sites along similar lines:

Hope it helps you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think VS7 was ever released - or else it became .NET by the time it was.
.NET is all to do with "future web integration for software developers" and is largely dependent on the growth of XML (and the expansion of M$ of course! :D).
Defining the Basic Elements of .NET (http://www.microsoft.com/net/basics/whatis.asp)
Unleash the power of .NET (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/)
THIS (http://www.devx.com/upload/free/features/vcdj/2000/08aug00/bn0008/bn0008-1.asp) was written in anticipation of VS7 (ie VSnet?), which might give some further insight - especially about the differences in forms and in distributed run-times.
Unless you are going to be deeply involved in Web-based software in the near future, VS6 should be more than adequate.
A lot of misc stuff on Google Groups (http://groups.google.com/groups?q=visual+studio+.net&sourceid=opera&num=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8)
