Ok i have published the webpage to the wwwroot folder, i used Microsoft Frontpage to publish it. Now when i type my LAN IP http://xx.xx.xx and name and password prompts me to enter something. I went to the properties of the folder and disable any type of password. But it still does it. I hit cancel and says cannot find server.

What could i be missing, i running XP PRO . Do i need to type in the IP and then a extension. ex 192.168.x.homepage.htm something like that , im stuck hopefully you can help me thanks.

And one more thing , after i publish the website , Frontpage asks if i want to view the website and i hit yes, and im given ,C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\index.htm,
this address in the address bar , is this address of the page...

You saved the page as filename "index.htm"? If so, try http://xxx.yyy.zzz/index.htm

If it works then it probably means you haven't specified the default index page in the web server. If it doesn't work then it probably means you haven't setup the web root directory correctly in the web server.
